HUMAN<>NATURE

Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra

Visual Identity

(2024)

In collaboration with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, I developed the visual campaign for Human <> Nature, an immersive concert experience at Paradiso Amsterdam. The event explored the evolving relationship between humans and the natural world, with a focus on climate change.

The orchestra performed selections from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, alongside contemporary works such as Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Cantus Arcticus, which features birdsong from the Arctic Circle, and David Fennessy’s Hirta Rounds, reflecting the natural regeneration of a remote Scottish island.

For Human <> Nature, poet Dean Bowen contributed new, evocative poetry, drawing direct inspiration from the orchestra’s performance and its thematic exploration of nature.
