Mihai The Brave

(2020)

Mihai The Brave

Vlad Braga

Poster

(2020)

Poster designed in collaboration with the photographer Vlad Braga during the Covid-19 pandemic. Starting by analysing  a photography of Vlad representing a Romanian soldier guarding Mihai Viteazul square n Cluj-Napoca, we delve deeper into research around who was Mihai “the Brave” and what was the purpose of its monument. We later discovered that this is the first monument dedicated by Romanians to a national hero and symbol. After this, we work together on a poster layout that could use both elements of photography and typography.
